The New Zealand High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jordan), Past Grand Warden in New Zealand, was installed as Master of the Royal Colonial Institute Lodge, London, by Sir Claude James, Past Grand Warden in Tasmania and Agent-General for Tasmania. Mr Jordan succeeded the late Duke of Connaught, who was Master for thirty years. The Duke of Kent, Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, was present and referred to his pleasure at meeting brethren from all parts of the Empire and also at his recent visit to the New Zealand Lodge. A representative party of New Zealanders was present, including Mr M. Maurice Smith, who is Master.
