UTE MR E. BANNISTER

FUNERAL YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.

The funeral of the late Mr E. M. Bannister took place yesterday afternoon. The service at the house was conducted by the Rev. Taepa, assisted by the Rev. F. A. Tooley, Vicar of Berhampore, an old friend of the family.

At the graveside the committal was conducted by Mr Tooley and Mr Taepa also officiated. Messrs S. M. Bannister (son), John Henderson (grandson), H. C. Henderson and G. A. Evans (sons-in-law) were pallbearers. Many floral tributes, telegrams, and messages were received, showing the great respect in which the late Mr Bannister was held.
