ENEMY CONVOY
ATTACKED NEAR MALTA
BY FLEET AIR ARM.
DESTROYER & MERCHANT SHIP PROBABLY HIT.
LONDON, May 20. A communique from Malta states that aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm attacked an enemy convoy. A destroyer and a merchant ship were probably hit.
The island’s defenders have destroyed or crippled three more enemy planes. In the week ended last night, the Axis lost 55 planes over Malta.
