Weather fair to fine. Cool night, with some frosts. Day temperatures moderate. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fair. LOCAL REPORT. Mr N. W, Towns reports as follows for the 24 hours, ended 8 a.m. today:— Barograph, 30.31; shade temperature, maximum 63.5, minimum 44.1; terrestrial, 40.4; sunshine, 2 hours 54 minutes; rain, 44 points. Mr H. M. Beddington reports that 42 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON—New moon, May 15; first quarter, May 23; full moon, May 30. Draw blinds at 5.35 p.m. today; raise them at 6.56 a.m. tomorrow.
