DEATH IN SLEEP
THE PRIMATE OF CANADA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) WINNIPEG, May 19. The death has occurred of Archbishop Matheson, Primate, in his. sleep. Canadian newspapers say Archbishop Matheson was endowed with exceptional leadership and executive abilities, combined with a natural humility and personal charm which enlarged his sphere of influence far beyond the church of which he was the official head.
