RISING FURY

AGAINST NAZIS IN FRANCE & BELGIUM DEMONSTRATION IN LYONS. FIFTEEN PERSONS EXECUTED IN BRUSSELS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, May 19. Crying: “Down with Hitler!” “Laval to the gallows!” a crowd of 1,500 marched past a theatre in Lyons* in which the Berlin State Orchestra was performing. The police did not interfere and no arrests were made. The railway between Nantes and La Rochelle was dynamited last night and an important section of the line was destroyed. The Belgian news agency reports that fifteen persons were executed in Brussels, five of them in reprisal for an attack on the Luftwaffe headquarters in Brussels. The second span was blown off the Sambre Dam, near Charleroi.
