SATURDAY, MAY 23, 1942. - NOTICE TO MEMBERS OF ALL UNITS. qpHE various Unit Controllers desire all members of their Units to observe the following directions:— (a) Members who have been notified to report for duty upon the sounding of the Alarm (1.15 p.m.) will proceed to their respective assembly points immediately the alarm sounds and will remain on duty until dismissed. They will report back to their assembly points upon the “All Clear” being sounded. (b) Members allotted to Units but ' who have not been notified to report will not be required until the “All Clear” has been sounded (3.30 p.m.) when they will require to report to their respective assembly points for roll call. (c) Members not allotted to any Unit will not be required at the trial. The Unit Assembly points are as follows:— Executive Unit: Town Clerk’s Office. Supply Unit: F.C.D.C. Yard, Queen Street. Transport Unit: .Masterton County Council Yard. Medical Unit: Masterton Club. Police Unit: Police Station. Works Unit: Borough Council Yard. Communications Unit: Rear of Post Office Building. Fire Unit: Fire Brigade Station. Accommodation Unit: Central School. Information Unit: Courthouse, Dixon Street. Wardens will take up duty as directed by their District Warden. District Wardens Posts are established as under:— No.’ 1 District: Cleat’s Garage, Cnr. King Edward Street and The Terrace. No. 2 District: Whiteman’s Garage, Second Street. No. 3 District: Gough, Gough and Hamers Premises, Perry Street. No. 4 District: Welch’s Garage (opp. F. M. Whyte’s), Renall Street. No. 5 District: Epiphany Hall, High and Short Streets. No. 6 District: Beattie’s Garage, Worksop Road and Casel Street. No. 7 District: Orange Hall, Bannister Street. STREET & TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS. rpHE following streets will be closed to traffic and cordoned off: — QUEEN STREET at Waipoua Bridge (both sides) from 1.15 to 3.30 p.m. QUEEN STREET from Park Street to Perry Street. CHURCH STREET from Queen Street to Dixon Street. LINCOLN ROAD from Queen Street to Chapel Street from 1.20 to 3.30 p.m. No cars will be permitted to be moved from streets closed for traffic until after the sounding of the "Ail Clear” at 3.30 p.m. Vehicles permitted to move through the other streets in the borough between 1.15 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. will he confined to. Armed Service, Bus Services, Taxis’ through traffic, and E.P.S. 1 vehicles, whose drivers’ must have and produce written authority.
