GOLF WEEKEND COMPETITION. (“Times-Age” Special.) A medal competition was played on the Gum Grove links during the weekend. The results were: H. McCarty, 85-13-72. H. Neilson, 92-16-76. R. Clelland, 30-1-79. Soldiers’ Dance. At the soldiers’ dance held in the Town Hall on Friday night, there was an excellent attendance. Mrs Ashton’s orchestra supplied the music, and extras were played by members of the Artillary Band, who introduced modern swing music which was much enjoyed by the dancers. The spot dance was won by Miss Eileen Cole and partner the prizes- being given by Mrs Neville. The supper arrangements were under the charge of the Junior Patriotic Committee. Mr Talbot carried out the duties of M.C. Personal. Mr and Mrs Ron McKenzie (Balance) are the guests of Mr and Miss Card. COSY THEATRE “THE MAN WHO TALKED TOO MUCH.” On Wednesday afternoon and evening the fast-moving dramatic screen epic, “The Man Who Talked too Much will be presented with George Brent, Virginia Bruce, Brenda Marshall and Richard Barthelmess in the chief roles.
