COURT=MARTIAL

PROCEEDINGS IN MASTERTON. CHARGES AGAINST TWO SOLDIERS. A District Court-Martial was held at the Masterton Courthouse today, the personnel being Lieut,-Colonel G. N. Taylor, V.D., president; . Major V. F. Maxwell, E.D., Captain J. H. Conly and Lieut. E. J. Goodwin, members. Major A. B. Sievewright was Judge Advocate and Mr J. Macfarlane Laing was defending counsel. Driver John Aran Shivan and Driver Gordon Patrick McKenna were charged with conduct to the of good order and military discipline, in that they, on April 4, did convert to their own use an Army truck, damaging same to the extent of £3 and a gatepost to the extent of 15s. Driver McKenna was charged with using threatening language to his superior officer. (Proceeding.)
