* SALVAGE OF GOLD CURRENCY TOSSED INTO THE SEA. BY THE BRITISH AUTHORITIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.10 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 14. A Tokio official radio despatch from Singapore describes the sensational salvage of a million dollars of gold currency which were tossed into the sea by the British authorities before the fall of Singapore. Thousands of onlookers, the despatch states, gathered near the General Post Office to watch diving operations. Ten thousand dollars daily are being brought to the surface, giving the spectators great thrills.
