BOMBS ON ESSEN
TESTIMONY OF A BELGIAN EYEWITNESS. A Belgian who was at Essen ope night when the town was heavily bombed by the R.A.F. has recounted his experience: “On going out next morning we saw much damage. Bits of machinery from factories which had been hit by the British bombs had been flung far and some had fallen in the centre of the town. “Chalked up on a wall we saw, “Invade England or capitulate.”
