SUCCESSFUL ATTACKS

ON ENEMY SUPPLY SHIPS OFF COAST OF NORWAY. TWO PLANES MISSING AFTER ATTACK ON CONVOY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) RUGBY, May 12. An Air Ministry communique states that on Sunday night a Hudson aircraft bombed and damaged a supply ship near Mandal (Norway). Last night another Hudson sighted an escorted convoy near Aalesund, attacked the largest ship, hit it several times and left it at a standstill and on fire. Two Coastal Command aircraft are missing from a daylight attack yesterday on a strongly escorted convoy off the Frisian Islands.
