CONSTRUCTION OF DESTROYERS. IBv Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) OTTAWA, May 11. The Minister for the Navy, Mr Angus Macdonald, told the House of Commons today that the keels of-two destroyers would be laid at Halifax next week, which would be the first construction of warships of that size ever undertaken in Canada. Mr Macdonald said that the building of destroyers would be continued after the war, thus making a permanent industry.
