HOME GUARD
REGISTRATION OF 35-51 AGE GROUP. 1100 WAIRARAPA APPLICATIONS. About 1100 applications have been received by Mr G. F. Whitlock, secretary of the Wairarapa Man Power Committee, for the enrolment of men between 35 and 51 in the Home Guard. The area covered by the applications extends from Pahiatua southwards. Mi* Whitlock stated this morning that it was hoped to make the first postings at an early date.
