“CRAZY SHOW”
A WILLIAMSON PRODUCTION. Tonight at the Opera House, beginning at 8 o’clock, the Great Levante by arrangement with J. C. Williamson Theatres Ltd., will present the big London Palladium triumph “Crazy Show,” which has created enthusiasm wherever it has been staged. There are 50 imported people in the company, including some of the best and funniest comedians New Zealand has ever enjoyed. . A notable event will be the appearance in person of the brilliant I and popular young ventriloquist, George Tollerton, who will present his inimitable and irresistible laughing feature “Chuckles with Jerry,” which has been one of the outstanding attractions heard from the Commercial Broadcasting Radio stations during the past two years. The Great Levante and his artists have been working on the production of “Crazy Show” for many months past, with the result that from beginning to end it goes like clockwork, and it is said that there is not one dull moment in the whole show. The six specially selected comedians, Messrs Ronald Shand, • Robert Butt, Joe Valli, Lawrie Long, George Corelli and Ed. Edwards, have exceptional opportunities for the display of their talents for creating laughter. The Great Levante is a whole show in himself. Miss Doris Whimp has excellent opportunities to display her talents. Miss Ursula Irving and Robert Butt are heard in several song successes. A big feature of the production is the work of a bevy of ballerinas who will be seen in some picturesque ballets, the soloist being Margaret Scrimshaw. The box plans are at the shop of Messrs Steele and Bull.
