The Curtiss Wright Corporation demonstrated to the Press the latest American plane, the Warhawk fighter. Air Force officials say the new plane will be a surprise for the enemy. Therefore most of its details cannot be revealed, but the disclosure is permitted that it is the first American plane using a British-designed Rolls Royce Merlin engine. It is also faster than all its P4O predecessors, belonging to the 400 miles class, and further possesses unusually heavy striking power. It is a definite answer to the enemy s latest planes. ______
