CROQUET CLUB SEASON OFFICIALLY CLOSED. ("Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Croquet Club on Monday afternoon the greens were officially declared closed for the season. Personal Items. Nurse Hitchman, a former Plunket Nurse in Greytown, was a visitor to the town yesterday. Mrs A. Haigh is visiting Lower Hutt. Mrs A. G. Nightingale, of Nelson, is the guest of Mr and Mrs H. J. Nightingale, Jellicoe Street. Lecture on Nervous System. A lecture on the nervous system was delivered by Dr Menzies at the Red Cross Society's Rooms last’ evening. TOWN HALL MELODIOUS COMEDY. The chief attraction at the Town Hall tonight will be “Melody Ranch,” a musical comedy starring Gene Autry, Mary Lee and “Windy’ Hayes.
