GREAT COURAGE SHOWN
NEW ZEALAND AIRMAN AWARDED D.F.M. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, May 5. The D.F.M. has been awarded to Sergeant Gordon Albert Williams, R.N.Z. A.F., Napier. The citation states that Sergeant Williams, who trained in New Zealand, displayed courage and determination in the’ face of the enemy. He destroyed in December, 1941, at least two enemy planes and damaged several others. Twice he successfully undertook ground machine-gunning sorties.-
