INDOOR BASKETBALL

LOCAL ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS. LAST NIGHT’S RESULTS. The best games this season were played by the Interhouse Basketball teams in the'Municipal Hall last evening when the fifth series of games in the first round were contested before a good attendance of enthusiasts. The most exciting games were those between Rangers and Cathies, Lancers and Codys and W.F.C.A. and the State Kitchenette. At the conclusion of the games a special practice match was played between teams from the Masterton group of the Air Force cadets. The following are the results of last night’s games:— State Kitchenette C beat Cathies, 16/2; State Kitchenette B beat McKenzies, 6/4; Rangers B beat Vesta, 14/2; Garages beat Banks, 9/3; Sparklets beat McDufl's, 10/8; Woolworths beat Post and Telegraph. 12/4; Lancers beat Codys, 8/5; Rangers A beat Cathies, 11/9; W.F.C.A. beat State Kitchenette, 24/2; A.S.C. beat Ruahinc, 17/12; Solway beat Interhouse, 8/4.
