LITTLE LAND ACTIVITY BUT BRITISH AIR OFFENSIVE MAINTAINED. NAZI ATTACKS ON MALTA SLACKEN. LONDON, May 6. In Libya land operations are at a virtual standstill but our aircraft are keeping up the offensive against enemy transport. Benghazi has had two more night attacks. ' The Axis assault on Malta LJs slackened in the last two days. The island’s defenders have shot down one German bomber, as well as a fighter.
