OBITUARY
MRS W. ANDREW. 'The death occurred suddenly at her residence, Cole Street, Masterton, yesterday of a well known and highly respected settler: of the Wairarapa in the person of Mrs W. Andrew, at the age of 76 years. The late Mrs Andrew was born in Christchurch and was married to Mr William Andrew of Blairlogie fifty years ago. Mi’ and Mrs Andrew were engaged during many years in farming at Greytown, Waiteko, Levin and at Otahome, retiring to live at Upper Plain where Mrs Andrew took a keen interest and active part in establishing the church at Fernridge. After Mr Andrew’s death the late Mrs Andrew came into Masterton to live. There is no family. The funeral will take place tomorrow after a funeral service at St Matthew’s Church at 3 p.m. Reference to the passing of the late Mrs Andrew was made at St Matthew’s Church yesterday afternoon by the Ven Archdeacon E. J. Rich. He said that she had been a devoted worshipper and had taken a full share in the work of the St Matthew’s Ladies’ Guild League. The deepest sympathy would be extended to her relatives by all members of the congregation.
