STOCKINGS FOR GIRLS
ANOMALY IN RATIONING SCHEME. Girls between 15 and 16 years Of age or even younger, who have left school and have taken up work in shops and offices or in other ways have bfeen overlooked in the stocking rationing scheme. It is believed, however, that steps are being taken to rectify the position. Although supplies Of stockings are available for girls attending school, no provision is mdde for those under 16 years of age who are at work. Limited supplies of woollen stockings in winter shades are obtainable in Mastefton ahd it is only from these, apfiarehtly, that girls in this category dan at least get supplies.
