TIN HARE RACING
WAIRARAPA CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING.
EVENTS AT RUGBY PARK.
A Wairarapa Championship tin hare meeting was held by the Wairarapa Coursing Club on Saturday at Rugby Park. There was ’a large attendance of spectators and some interesting racing was witnessed. In the contest for the Wairarapa Championship S. Gerrand’s Royal Routine narrowly defeated J. Hanley’s The Admiral. Details of the finals are:— Maiden Stake: Orui Lady. A. Parks (Masterton), 1; Lancaster Joe, Mrs L. H. Jones (Masterton), 2. Wairarapa Championship Flat: Royal Routine, S. Gerrand (Masterton), 1; The Admiral, J. Hanley (Masterton), 2. Juvenile Stakes: Lady Robin, Miss J. Hanley (Masterton), 1; Pilot Officer, J. Gallagher (Masterton), 2. Wairarapa Championship Hurdles: Ballaramaine, W. Spring (Masterton), 1; Wong Tai, F. C. Hoskins (Wanganui), 2. Limit Stake: Micawber’s Worry, W. Williams (Masterton), 1; Flying Ace, E. Allsworth (Masterton), 2. Ladies’ Plate: Royal Routine, S. Gerrand, 1; Back Loop Slam, W.
