NEARLY THREE THOUSAND DEAD. <By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, May 2. The Navy Department announced that the number of casualties since Pearl Harbour till April 15 is at least 2991 dead—the majority being killed at Pearl Harbour—249s missing and '907 wounded.

The Navy adds that these numbers are probably incomplete, because some casualty reports from scenes of action have been delayed.
