TIDE TURNED IN FAVOUR OF ALLIES
DECLARATION BY MR BEVIN.
PLANS FOR OFFENSIVE ACTION.
LONDON, May 3.
The output of equipment was now on our side, the Minister of Labour (Mr E. Bevin) declared today. The tide, he said, had turned, where war production was concerned. The Government was now in a position to plan for offensive action. They had to do the job thoroughly, in order to make a success of it when the big adventure took place.
