The United Press says strong Japanese forces have driven 32 miles through the Lashio sector towards the Chinese frontier. They are apparently headed for Yunan Province. Japanese forces are also fighting their way closer to Mandalay. Some infiltration units are already fighting in the southern outskirts of Mandalay. Other units are attacking Kyauske.
