“THE GAY FALCON.”
The debonair exploits of a society detective who combines romance with his vocation are revealed in “The Gay Falcon,” featuring George Sanders and Wendy Barrie and to be presented at the State Theatre tonight. The "Falcon” cannot keep away from intriguing crime problems or pretty women. despite the pleas of his fiancee, so when an attractive girl begs him to investigate a series of mysterious thefts he goes into action. He is mistaken for a member of a robber ring, and entrusted with a valuable jewel, this leading to thrilling complications as he seeks to unravel the mysteiy and round up the leader of the band. There is a thrilling climax. Anne Hunter takes the part of the fiancee who tries in vain to persuade the amateur detective to give up his “hobby.” The supporting roles arc in most capable hands. PEARL HARBOUR BOMBING. A special feature tonight will be pictures of U.S. warships bombed at Pearl Harbour, and the tragic scenes which followed.
