IN AIR FIGHTING SERVICE. D.F.C. AWARD TO GREYMOUTH AIRMAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) LONDON, April 30. The citation to the award of the D.F.C. to Pilot Officer Desmond James Scott, of Greymouth, says: “During a long period of operational flying Pilot Officer Scott carried out a large number of sorties, including attacks against shipping and aerodromes, night flying operations and close bomber escorts. He displayed throughout great skill and keenness, while his exceptional devotion to duty has been an admirable example.”
