SUCCESSFUL ATTACK
ON ENEMY SUPPLY SHIP. OFF THE DANISH COAST. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) RUGBY, April 28. A successful attack against a German supply ship was made by a Hudson aircraft off the Danish coast last night. When the pilot spotted a medium-sized German supply ship, escorted by an anti-aircraft ship, he dived to the attack. As he pulled to clear the funnel he released a stick of bombs, two of which thudded on the deck of the ship. A few seconds later the bombs exploded. The flash was followed by a column of sparks and a cloud of black smoke. When the smoke cleared, the pilot was able to see the ship clearly. Her funnel had disappeared.
