LADIES’ HOCKEY

FIXTURES POSTPONED. TILL SATURDAY, MAY 9. The opening of the competitions conducted by the Wairarapa Ladies’ Hockey Association, which was set down for Saturday next, has been postponed for a week on account of the impossibility of getting the Lansdowne grounds in order in time. The following is the draw for the first round of the senior and junior competitions:— SENIORS.

May 9: Carterton v College, at College; Excelsior v Kia Ora, at Lansdowne; Greytown a bye. May 16: Excelsior v Greytown, at Grey town; College v Kia Ora, at Lansdowne; Car ter ton a bye. May 23: Greytown v Carterton, at Carter ton; College v Excelsior, at Lansdowne; Kia Ora a bye. May 30: Kia Ora v Greytown, at Greytown; Carterton v Excelsior, at Lansdowne; College a bye. June 6: College v Greytown, at College; Kia Ora v Carterton. at Lansdowne; Excelsior a bye. JUNIORS. May 9: College v Excelsior, at College; Sincerity v Carterton A, at Carterton; Carterton B a bye.
