Burns to Eyes.
A jockey, Eric Blance, of Opaki, was admitted to the Masterton Hospital yesterday afternoon, suffering from burns to his eyes. It is reported that he was handling a bottle of lime when it exploded. His condition this morning was reported to be quite satisfactory.
Wellington Accident Victim. The woman who was killed when a runaway truck overturned in Nairn Street, Wellington, on Friday last, has been identified as Kitty Stewart, a domestic servant, aged 48 years. On the day of the • accident she had taken a room in Nairn Street, having previously lived in Tui Street.
