GREYTOWN
LATE STRAWBERRIES STILL IN GOOD SUPPLY. ("Times-Age” Special.) Yesterday Mr Manihera, of Papawai Pa, brought into Greytown some punnets of really excellent strawberries, chiefly of the Madame Melba variety. Mr Manihera reports that over the past fortnight his plants have been fruiting exceptionally well as a second crop especially in view of the lateness of the season. Private home gardeners also report late flowering and small quantities of remarkably large and good quality berries.
Red Cross Society. The Greytown Red Cross will hold its annual meeting at the depot on Wednesday evening. After the business has been completed Miss Higginson will present the medallions and certificates. TOWN HALL ROMANTIC COMEDY. An entirely new style romantic comedy will Ire depicted at the Town Hall tonight. The title is “That Uncertain Feeling,” starring Merle Oberon, Melvyn Douglas and Burgess Meredith.
