WOMEN’S HAIRPINS
MANUFACTURE CURTAILED IN U.S.A. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.0 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 27. The War Production Board has ordered a curtailment of the production of hairpins, especially of the Bobbie type, which are manufactured from high-carbon steel wire. In connection with this expected shortage, American women are adopting shorter coiffures.
