FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL. CLOSED ROADS. MOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in pursuance of the Wairarapa Counties Joint By-Law Amendment By-Law, 1930, the Featherston County Council, by resolution dated the 10th day of April, 1942, has determined that, owing to weather conditions, the roads within the County described in the schedule hereto, while fit for heavy traffic up to: (a) 3 tons in weight in the case of the transport of any motor vehicle. (b) One and half tons avoirdupois in weight to each pair of wheels in the case of the transportation of any other vehicle, engine or machinewill be unfit for heavy traffic exceeding such weights for the whole of the months of May, June, July, August and September, 1942, and has by the said resolution ordered that heavy traffic exceeding the said weights shall, during the said months, cease on the said roads. THE SCHEDULE. All the roads in the Greytown Riding excepting the Wellington-Napier and Greytown-Bidwill Cutting Main Highways and No. 1 Line. All the roads in the Otaraia Riding excepting the MartinboroughLake Ferry Main Highway and the Martinborough - Hautotara Bridge Main Highway. All the roads in the Turanganui Riding excepting the MartinboroughLake Ferry Main Highway, the Kahautara Main Highway, the Pirinoa-Lake Ferry Road, and the Whangaemoana Road. ■All roads in the Pahaoa Riding. All roads in the Awhea Riding. All roads in the Western Lake Riding, excepting the Featherston-Pigeon Bush Main Highway. FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE SPECIFYING WEIGHTS PERMITTED OVER THE PAHAOA RIVER BRIDGES. PURSUANT to Regulation 7, Clause 3, of “The Heavy Motor Vehicles Regulations, 1940,” the Featherston County Council DOTH HEREBY DECLARE the use of those parts of the roads in the County of Featherston described in the first schedule hereto of the classes of vehicles described in the second schedule hereto for the period of twelve calendar months from the 28th day of April, 1942, prohibited, PROVIDED THAT this prohibition shall not apply to the use of such roads by any vehicle of the said classes on any occasion authorised in writing by the Clerk to the County. FIRST SCHEDULE. That portion of the Moeraki Road near Mr D. Cameron’s, being the Moeraki Bridge across the Pahaoa River, Hinakura. That portion of the Hinakura Road near Mr Lyster’s, being the bridge known as the Hinakura Bridge across the Pahaoa River. That portion of the Ngakonui Road near the Ngakonui Station, being the bridge known as the Ngakonui Bridge. SECOND SCHEDULE. (1) Heavy motor vehicles other than Multi-axled Motor Vehicles exceeding the gross weight of 3 tons. (2) Multi-axled Heavy Motor Vehic- . les exceeding the gross weight of 4.5 tons.
