Sweden has protested to Britain regarding the alleged arming of the Norwegian ships which broke out from Gothenburg. The Swedish police investigation allegedly disclosed that twenty light machine-guns had been smuggled aboard the vessels. The English captains of the two vessels which returned to Sweden have been summoned for contravention of the Swedish regulations. Germany has already protested to Sweden. The Swedish newspaper “Dagcns Nyheter” stales that unfortunately it has been confirmed that the British Legation consular officials smuggled arms aboard the vessels.
