REGENT THEATRE
"LADY BE GOOD.” Full acting honours must go to Ann Sothern for her performance in “Lady Be Good,” the perennially popular musical comedy, which will be shown tonight at the Regent Theatre. The girl who has become well known as the hoyden Maisie blossoms out as a first-rate dramatic actress with a first-rate voice. Her singing of the hit, “The Last Time I Saw Paris,” is one of the features of the show. Playing opposite her is Robert Young, as the temperamental song-writer, whose success gives him big ideas. Prominent in the cast are Eleanor Powell, who does some extraordinary tap-dancing, and Lionel Barrymore, who takes the part of the judge. There will be no pictures on Anzac Day.
