EKETAHUNA CATTLE FAIR COMPETITION KEEN. The Associated Auctioneers report on their autumn cattle fair, held yesterday as follows: A full yarding of cattle came forward and attracted a large and representative attendance of buyers from Manawatu. Masterton, South Wairarapa and all the local districts. The cattle came forward in good condition. The yarding lacked any numbers of grown cattle, the majority being 18 months to 2,2 year steers. Competition, however, was keen, and cattle showing quality were keenly sought after. One line of extra good 2'/s-year steers made £lO 15s while 18-months steers made £7 ss. A total clearance was effected under the hammer, and the following list of our principal sales will indicate values: Extra good 2‘/2-year Hereford steers £lO 15s, 2>/2-.vear P.A. steers £9 15s, 2'A-year store condition P.A. steers £8 12s Gd. 18-months P.A. steers £6 17s 6d. £7 ss, medium do £b. £6 12s 6d, 18-months Hereford steers £5 12s Gd, £6 2s 6d, small weaner P.A. steers, ;C3 ss, forward condition P.A. cows £5 12$ Gd, £6, 2'/2-vear P.A. heifers £5 14s. store P A cows £4, £4 5s to £4 15s. coloured bullocks £7, £7 15s to £8 ss.
