The Chungking correspondent of the United Press of America says that the Minister of Economics, Mr Wong Wenshao, accompanied by oil experts, arrived in Kansu Province to view and study the possibilities of increased exploitation of the Chinese oilfields in order partly to compensate for the shortage resulting from the loss of the Netherlands East Indies and Burma oilfields.
