OBITUARY
MISS MARY DAYSH. Miss Mary Daysh, a very old resident of East Taratahi, passed away in a Masterton private hospital yesterday afternoon. The late Miss Daysh was born at East Taratahi 68 years ago and had resided all her life in the district. She was the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Richmond Daysh, pioneer settlers of the district, and is survived by four brothers, Messrs Donald and Jack Daysh (Taratahi) and George and Alfred Daysh (Hamilton) and by one sister, Mrs Falloon (Kirton Street, Masterton).
The funeral will take place on Monday, leaving the chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service, following a service which will be held at 11 a.m., for the Masterton Cemetery.
MR. A. E. MILLER. The death occurred in Masterton Hospital this morning of Mr Arthur Edwin Miller, of 57 Cole Street, after a prolonged illness. He was a gardener by occupation and served with the New Zealand Forces in the Great War. He was educated at the Te Ore Ore school. He is survived by his wife, eight daughters and four sons. The funeral will take place on Monday, leaving the chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service, following a service at 2 p.m., for the Masterton Cemetery.
