RAID ALERT
SOUNDED IN SAN FRANCISCO. APPROACHING PLANES FOUND TO BE FRIENDLY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 16. ‘A message from San Francisco states that an alert was sounded at 9.57 a.m. local time. Radio stations were ordered off the air, but at 10.12 a.m. the all clear was given, when approaching planes were identified as friendly ones.
