RUNNING SEA FIGHT
NORWEGIAN STEAMER SINKS U-BOAT. OFF NORTH COAST OF BRAZIL. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.0 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 16. The Associated Press of America’s Rio De Janeiro correspondent reports a running sea fight in which an armed Norwegian steamer, the Baalbek, sank an Axis submarine off the north coast of Brazil. The Baalbek was damaged but remained afloat after sinking the submarine.
