HOME GUARD
MASTERTON BATTALION ROUTINE ORDERS. CLASSES, PARADES & OTHER ACTIVITIES. Routine orders for the Masterton Battalion of the Home Guard for the coming week are: — Classes: N.C.O. class, Tuesday, April 21, at 7.0 p.m. at the Municipal Hall. Special coaching class: This class will be held at the Municipal Hall on Thursday, April 23, at 7.0 p.m. Parades: A, C and H-Q. companies: No parades will be held during the weekend, April 18-19. Other centres will adhere to individual arrangements.
Company commanders’ conference: A company commanders’ conference will be held in the Orderly Room, Perry Street, on Tuesday, April 21, at 7.30 p.m. Mobilisation: The Battalion Commander expresses his appreciation for the promptitude and efficiency with which the recent mobilisation was carried out by all ranks. The test has been of great value in improving the system of communication and organisation throughout the battalion. Transfers: R. Wellington from A Coy. to Te Ore Ore Platoon, F Coy. Marched in: Ten recruits.
Marched out: C Coy.: Lieut. J. C. McChesney, D. Minifie, D. F. Mills and W. F. McDonald to Territorials.
