SUGGESTION DENIED

NO LACK OF CANADIAN REINFORCEMENTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) OTTAWA, April 8. The Defence Minister, Mr Ralston, has returned from a Pacific coast inspection. He told the Press that suggestions that the Canadian corps overseas or the Canadian army lacked reinforcements were without foundation. Reinforcements were up to the full scale asked for by General McNaughton. Mr Ralston said the March enlistments totalled 8821. He added that the defences of the Pacific coast were constantly increasing. Though he expressed satisfaction at the progress achieved, he pointed out that the Government planned further very considerable increases.
