FLIGHT LIEUTENANT AWARDED D.F.C. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, April 9. Flight Lieutenant A. G. Humphreys has been awarded the D.F.C. for his action in bringing back a Stirling bomber safely. Flight Lieutenant Humphreys was pilot of a Stirling bomber which made a dive of 15,000 feet, to sea level, m shaking off an enemy fighter.. The episode occurred when the Stirling was returning from the raid on Lubeck on April 6.
