DANUBE FLOOD
BULGARIAN TOWN WIPED OUT MANY HOUSES COLLAPSE ELSEWHERE. ON BOTH SIDES OF RIVER. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, April 8. It is reported from Bucharest that, as a result of a flood in the Danube, the town of Vidin, in north-west Bulgaria, has been completely destroyed, and that 700 houses collapsed in the towns of Ruse (Bulgaria) and Giurgiu (Rumania) which are opposite each other on the Lower Danube.
