WOMEN’S DRESS IN U.S.A. WAR PRODUCTION BOARD DECREES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, Noon.) WASHINGTON, April 8. The War Production Board has decreed that dresses may be shorter .or tighter, but neither longer nor fuller than those now worn. In a long list of specifications covering the future manufacture of women’s apparel, such frills as French Cuffs, balloon sleeves, and woollen patch-pockets are clifninated entirely. The decree emphasises that there is no intention of freezing styles. The restrictions regarding wool become effective immediately.
