JAPANESE MERCHANT SHIPS SUNK BY AMERICAN SUBMARINE OPERATING IN CHINA SEA. TWO VESSELS EACH OF 10,000 TONS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) RUGBY, April 7. Information has just been received that a United States submarine, while on an extended patrol in the China Sea, sank two Japanese merchant vessels of about 10,000 tons and another large vessel.
