LOST AT SEA
AMERICAN REAR-ADMIRAL. DURING NORMAL CRUISING. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, April 6. Rear-Admiral J. W. Wilcox was lost overboard at sea in heavy weather during normal cruising. He had been on sea duty since November, 1941, and was previously president of the Board of Inspection and Survey in the Navy Department. Rear-Admiral Wilcox is the second United States admiral lost since December 7, when Rear-Admiral Isaac Kidd was killed at Pearl Harbour.
