DRIVEN FROM HOMES
MORE THAN MILLION CHINESE WERE IN HONG KONG. JAPANESE DEFENCE MEASURES. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) CHUNGKING, April 6. The British United Press correspondent states that the Japanese have driven more than a million Chinese from Hong Kong, which has been transformed into an armed camp and supply station. A Japanese pretext of reducing sabotage by guerillas is the reason for the mass migration. The Japanese have improved the installations of 60 big naval guns left by the British.
