MASTERTON STOCK SALE

SHARP RISE IN FAT SHEEP VALUES. A sharp rise in the price of fat sheep was recorded at the Masterton stock sale today, values for fat wethers appreciating as much as 2s to 3s per head. There was a moderate attendance of buyers. Early prices were: —-Fat Southdown wethers, 25s Id; fat wethers, 23s lOd, 24s 2d, 23s 2d, 25s 2d. 24s lOd; fat lambs, 22s 2d. 23s 3d; fat S.D. ewes, 13s 6d.
